Ge.rman s.oldiers and dumped th.e b.odies into the nearby. lake, but failed to .tak.e notice of any of the l.ocal supe.rstiti.ons (n.ever a wise move). Altho.ugh, seeing as thi.s f.ilm appea.rs to be set in the earl.y 80's, why it's taken s.o l.ong fo.r them to emerge and .sta.rt killing people is .a bit of a mystery, b.ut .there you go. . . . . . Not-.wit.h-standin.g, the villagers quickly. organise a lynch mob to. ta.ke dow.n the zombie menace, .onl.y to end up being dec.imated by the undead .sol.diers, who's 'convincing.' zombie .make-u.p basi.cally consists of green .paint, which doesn.'t .even cove.r the whole of the actor.s faces and keeps washin.g o.ff in .the lake. . . . . . There's also a. bizarre .sub pl.ot abo.ut one of the zombies vi.siting his former .dau.ghter, wh.o strangely still looks .all of 12 despite the fa.ct .she sh.ould be in her 40's i.f s.he was born near the .end of the war, but t.hen. since when did logic ev.er come i.nto th.ese fi.lms? Such as why do thei.r uniforms still l.ook. almost n.ew despite being underwa.ter for 40 years, or how. co.me the. skinny dipping girls. ar.e only knee deep in t.he water when viewed .fro.m the lakeside, yet appe.ar to be .swimmi.ng in .12 feet of it from the u.nderwater shots? . . . . . .
